Pakistani police say a burka-clad suicide bomber blew herself up near a Christian school in the northwestern city of Peshawar Tuesday.
Authorities said the woman was killed, but there were no other casualties. They said it was the first suicide bombing by a woman in Pakistan.
Elsewhere, officials say suspected pro-Taliban militants abducted six Pakistani security personnel late Monday and blew up their checkpoint in a troubled tribal region near the Afghan border.
The attack took place near the town of Khar, in the tribal district of Bajaur.
And Afghan officials say they have arrested a suspect in Monday’s bombing of an Islamic school in the northern province of Baluchistan.
Six students were killed when a bomb exploded at a madrassa in southwestern Qilla Saifullah, a town near the Afghan border. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Pakistan has been battling increased militancy in its tribal regions by militant groups who oppose U.S. operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s alliance with Washington in fighting terrorism.

Thankfully, just like women cant drive cars straight… they also can’t run straight to their bombing target.
It’s a shame, though. I wonder if we are the first nation to ever have a female suicide bomber?

i agree about the drive and now on the bomb… but no we arent the first nation…in Palestine there are alot of Female suicide bombers specially i remember …a woman hit the bomb in a night club nearly killing 300+ ppl in TILABIB ( Israeel)

Please do not advertise this! In UK teachers show films to students who are learning about terrorism; and those documentaries show that Pakistan particularly Lahore breeds terrorists via Alqaeda; advertise something positive abt pakistanis so that there is less discomfort and prejudice between muslim Pakistanis and people fm other nationalities. plz advertise something positive. any good news? related to pakistan?

Can anyone justify suicide bombing? Is it allowed in Islam? I dont think so! unless there are certain emtions of revenge and no other tool to take revenge for a murder is available.

It is very much clear that the policy,followed by the generals at the behast of their Masters has now become a monster uncontralable. Our generals have fought the first Afghan war and entitled it Jihad. The result crystal clear:madrassas,the real wharehouse of extremists and fanatics. The second U turn begin with the aftermath of 9/11. Our generals statred war on terror. The jihadis who were trained by the CIA,ISI,MI and Saudi extremists to fight the US jihad against the Soviets became terrorists and extremists. What a pity it is.
Osma Bin Laden,the brain child of CIA became villian,while he was dear to CIA during US jihad in Afghanista. What a great game the US plays. By using these actors to fight for them-to die for them.
Extremism,fanatism,redicalism,jihadism and other forms of dirtry isms are the by product of CIA,ISI and our puppet generals. As you sow shall you reap. Now the generals must bear the fruit-the seed they sow against the Soviets is now ready to pursue the generals.
Thanks to the policies of of Musharraf and his Masters. For the first time in 60 years of our history we have recognized the ugly faced,troule makers,power hungry and monster like GENERALS. The generals together with mullahas,land lords and other monsters who are still sucking the blood from our veins are no more hidden. The power wind of change around the globe has shaken the steel wall of this status quo.
Lets shake the foundation stone of the wall constructed by the geneals for the last 60 year. Revolution is now our destiny.
We need a system based on social contract,based on pluralism,based on ethical values. Say no to GENERALISM,MULLAHISM,LANDLORDISM,VADERASIM,SARDASIM and other paracits and venoms exists in our society. The power hugry politicians are us are part of the problem not the solution. So be ware of Benasirs,Sharifs,Qazis and other monkey face MUHALLAS.
