I share with you a statement sent to us by Mrs. Ahsan who shares her frustration that her husband has yet again been placed under house arrest for another month starting this New Year. My hat goes off in salute to all those judges and lawyers who made this great sacrifice for the sake of Justice in Pakistan and their ongoing resistance against an illegal dictator and his illegal PCO. It seems the that the recent turn of events has only distracted us from the way Musharraf had ransacked and raped the Judiciary in Pakistan.
I can only look back to say, had if, the Judiciary been independent, then we might have been able to find the culprits involved in the assassination of Mrs. Benazir Bhutto, but sadly it is the irony that she herself was not advocating the restoration of the only credible judiciary, but toeing the line of the illegal & compromising ones. Statement issued by Mrs. Bushra Aitzaz Ahsan
At this moment there is a Quran Khawani for Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed outside our house in Zaman Park in Lahore. The Quran Khawani has been arranged by me but my husband, Aitzaz Ahsan, has not been allowed even to step out of the house and participate in the Quran Khawani. He is detained in our house at No. 5, Zaman Park which has been declared a sub-jail and as of today his detention has been further extended for a period of 30 days. In fact the security and police presence outside our house has been greatly increased and a battalion of policemen guard it now in fear that he may come out and join in the prayer meeting.
My husband was also disallowed from participating first in the funeral and then in the soyem at Naudero. He had formally applied to the Federal Government through the Punjab Government and the jail authorities to go to Naudero but the application was denied. Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan again applied on the 30th December for a reprieve for a mere two hours to join the Quran Khawani outside his house. This request has also been refused.
Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan was arrested on November 03, the day General Musharraf imposed the Emergency. He was initially detained in solitary confinement in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi and then to house arrest in Lahore.
One day before Eid he was released for three days to enable him to celebrate Eid but was re-arrested on the same day at Chakri interchange on the motorway and was manhandled by plainclothes policemen. He was then driven around and about Chakri and Chakwal in the middle of the night in an open police van and brought to Lahore in the morning. The reprieve granted to him was also cancelled.
Due to exposure to extreme cold and sub-zero wind-chill Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan ran high fever with aches and pains for several days but has now recovered.
Ever since he applied to go to Naudero the security around his house has been beefed up. All phone lines were cut and the cell phones of those who reside therein have blocked and jammed after Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan made a condolence call to Mr. Asif Ali Zardari on the day of the funeral.
Meantime, the Federal Government has further extended the detention of Mr. Aitzaz Ahsan for a period of 30 days with effect from 01.01.2008.

The illegal and unconstitutional retired president knows the power and appeal of the great laywer who defeated the generals for the first in 60 years. Bloody generals have guns,but the great lawer has far more spuerior weapon. And that is his ability to mobilise people without bribing them. He has the art terrify the ruthless generals with his great wisdom and intellect.
Musharraf knows that Ahtizaz the great would pose a great legal challange his illegal authority.
Musharraf is far more unlucky as compare to his predecessors Ayub,Yahya and fanatic Zia. He is living in an era of information where people are’nt living in fools paradise. They are well informed and know the enemies of Pakistan.
The enemies,not invisible now are soon be unmasked inshallah.
Ahtizaz the great would never abadon his struggle nor he would be intimidated. The general’s weapon is now outdated to counter or silance the voice of the masses.
The extention of house arrest shows the furstration of the coward generals. Generals are inherently violent,brutish in nature -never believe in rule of law and ethics. They have learnt nothing but,lesson and that is to kill,plunder,destroy,murder,assassinate, conspire,silence the critic,abuse,acuse and above all to destory the foundation of PAKISTAN,JUDICIARY,CIVIL SOCIETY & create panic,fear and swallow the resources of PAKISTAN come what may.
Ahtizaz the great,though does’nt possess Klashankov,Rocket Launcher,Suicide bomber and missile. He has the guts to win the minds of hear and souls of the down-trodden-the victims of consious and victim of the bloody GENERALS.
The great lawyer is always lives in the minds and hearts of people. We all are with him and his family. I personally pay my homage to his brave wife and the mother of ali for her courage. She is the mother of the nation. The generals,if urge to silence the lawyer must not forget that thousands of Ali Ahtizaz’s are ready to join their mother Bushara.
By God willing the generals defeat has been written in the cosmic text. They would meet the same fate their fanatic general and usurper ZIA-UL-HAQ.
Ahtizaz is our national hero and asset and the brave Bushara is our beloved mother. He would surely raise the slogan of free judiciary with the help of brave lawyers. Chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad would reappear on the surface inshallah.

in every country have a think tank and we also want the people who just think about the Pakistan and make policies for Pakistan which never change.
