  I can’t agree with you on placing Fatima Bhutto at the leadership of PPP at this stage. As an intellectual, she is too valuable to be lost to politics. Actually some of us want her to live & not enter Pakistani politics as a candidate for any chief executive role. She can influence all parties and ethnicities with her writings. As a journalist, poet and writer, Fatima Bhutto can influence people and move mountains. As a politician, she will be blamed for everything that goes wrong during her tenure. Perhaps one day, when she has met the man of her dreams who will support her in her efforts, she will be the leader that many people in Pakistan want her to be.

I am a regular reader of her articles and it’s hard to believe that she can have this oservation and intellect to write these articles. Her writings are based on very facts and concern of the welfare of masses. But before she walks in to the real field of politics, she has a lot of chalenges to face. Intellectual like Dr. Mubasher Hasan could be a very dependable guide but do not have enogh votes which counts in democracy and the people who have votes are not dependable at all.   Fatima is a person who can see the future of Pakistan. She stands out from those who see only the past. Fatima sees the problems and also sees the solutions. She is an educated adult. She is well qualified to offer her advice in the highest councils of the land.

  Fatima is more valuable to Pakistan if she stays alive. She is a Bhutto. People will listen to her. She does not need to hold office to make her views known. It is better that she be protected from corruption.

  Fatima’s choice is to write and to speak. It is a good choice.

  i think BB’s assasination is truly trajic for pakistan, but it realy worked well for zardarians in their conversion from being zardaries to Great Bhuttos. obviously politics and political parties doesnt constitute any one’s property even after too many sacrifices, but even then if PPP was to be ancestered it must have been given to fatma because firstly she is original bhutto (not a converted one) and secondaly she is alredy in this field and serving pakistan by expressing her critical views.

  i am wondering how such a sweet and wonderfull girl like Fatima wants to be in politic in this country. She is so very brave because i am always very afraid to even think of politics. But it will be so much good luck for the people of Pakistan if she becomes important member of government.   I was impressed and touched by your article “Al-Wida” which I opened while I was reading an article called, “Fatima Bhatto is the only hope for Pakistan. Do you agree with the writer? What are your thoughts and feelings about taking up on a leadership role in Pakistan? The way you have described the Bhattos’ tragedies you must have gone through a lot of pain and suffering not to mention strain and stress. May Allah make it easy for you and help you play a most suitable role to benefit Pakistan.

  she sucks. u all suck. don’t u think its enough for the bhuttos already. i also dont think she is any way like benazir. benazir was a harvard grad not from an affiliated school of ivy league. how do u guys think that she is a benzir in the offing. her father headed a broken faction of a party not a party itself. get a life ppl. writing is not a stateman’s experience for running a political office. either u r in a gov. or not or involved in the community somehow to gain some experience. true pakis don have that but guys no one has a perfect gov, not states, not chindia, nor even union jack, its all a part of trial and error my frnds.
