I am a Pakistani-American doctor and have been viewing a news item being broadcast by ARY digital TV network today (4 Jan, 2008) stating that according to Pakistan Peoples Party’s leader Senator Dr. Babar Awan, late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was fired upon by some sort of an highly sophisticated weapon capable of dispersing electromagnetic radiation, because her medical report, as read by Dr. Babar Awan in ARY TV news clip states that 2-3 mm “radiodensities” were noted.
For God sake, please note that “radiodensity” does not mean radiation dispersal or related to electromagnetic radiation. In medical terminology “Radiodensity” actually means an object that is visible on a x-ray, such as pieces of metal, bullet fragments, shrapnel etc etc.
So please stop reporting and saying that late BB was fired at by a weapon capable of dispersing electromagnetic radiation. Radiodensity meant metallic fragments in that report, such as pieces of metal, bullet fragments and shrapnel. Such statements are only adding insult to injury and will leave a very bad impression of Pakistan, PPP and Dr. Awan that Pakistanis are not even educated enough to differentiate between a radiodensity and a radiation dispersal device. Electromagnetic radiation is gamma rays and x-rays and do not cause fractures of skull or kill the target instantly. Please do not make a laughing stock of Pakistan and Pakistanis.

this is hilarious !! i didn’t know about what Babar Awan had said, but anyways it is good that you being a professional pointed it out. Hopefully somehow PPP would also be told about this.

It is good to point out mistakes. Our media family should get the understanding about the Jargons and do not attempt to analyse in the air…..
