SCOTCHING ALL rumours that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari was going to meet President Musharraf in Karachi, PPP today categorically rejected all rumours saying that misinformation was being spread by opponents as well as establishment.

PPP said that Senator Zardari was visiting Karachi to meet the British High Commissioner and members of the Scotland Yard team in Pakistan, who are conducting an investigation into the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

The party said that the meeting will take place in Karachi because the British officials were not able to get permission or a security clearance from the government of Pakistan to travel to Naudero.

The Pakistan People’s Party, however said that it might work with President Pervez Musharraf after the elections, despite allegations that elements within his government may have played a role in Bhutto’s assassination.

PPP spokesman Farhatullah Babar told mediapersons, “All options are open”. “These are bridges which we will cross when they come,” he added.

Meanwhile, Sherry Rehman, central information secretary of PPP, said that the party stands committed to the demand for a wider international probe into the events that led to December 27 tragedy.

She also said PPP will continue to seek a UN led inquiry into the sponsors, organizers, financiers and perpetrators behind the murder of its martyred chairperson. The party, she said will not rest till an independent international probe is ordered into this heinous act of terrorism and bring the culprits, as well as the hidden hands behind it, to justice.

“Benazir Bhutto was a leader of international stature. Her assassination represents an attack on the stability and federal structure of Pakistan. It represents an attack on the politics of peace and democracy for the entire region, and the forces that conspired to kill her are the same forces that seek the destruction of Pakistan, which poses a clear and present danger for the region”, she added.

Zardari will definitly meet the president at Karachi but it is always denied. Benazir also used to deny any talk going on with Mush– but the fact came to light one day.The result was the NRO ( National Revival corruption Order). Such Aankh Machooli with the nation will continue untill Allah Ka Banda came for rescue. Mian Shehbaz has also gone to London and Mush– will also be there in a few days. Let us see what happens there.
