Vishesh Films And Vox Vision To Make Benazir Bhutto Movie

Her assassination was a drama that was played out across the world.

Now two film companies are battling it out to be the first to make Benazir Bhutto: The Movie.

Vishesh Films and Vox Vision/Sum Films both say they’ve begun work on documenting the life of the former Pakistani leader.

And both say they’ve got official backing for their movies.

Director Mukesh Bhatt from Mumbai based Vishesh Films says Ms Bhutto’s PPP political party approached him with the idea.

“The party members connect with our sensibilities and trust us to do justice to the persona of Benazir Bhutto,” he’s been reported as saying.

Leicester-based Sum Films also say their movie is in pre-production and will be a join effort with Karachi production firm, Vox Vision.

“We were deeply affected by what took place. We’ve grown up watching and admiring this woman,” says Henna Rai from Sum Films.

“Making a film is for me, the best way to pay tribute and celebrate her life,” she told Sky News.

Ms Rai says her film will be shot in Pakistan, the US, Britain and Dubai, where the former PM lived in exile.

It’s also been revealed that the late leader was herself offered a Bollywood film role in 1972.

When the then 18-year-old Benazir visited India for the first time, she was asked to take on the lead role in a Hindi movie.

why make a film on her ? she was highly anti indian and so was her father. he vowed to take revenge on india (post 1965 war)by making the “islamic bomb”.

There is a woman who does work in India as a Singer. Her name is Charlottemarie. She has worked with the music director Sameer Uddin.
She looks exactly like Benazir Bhutto. Everyone in our report staff agrees. I will make some effort to get a photo of her to you. It will amaze you. Charlottemarie has website, however, at this time it is under construction. As promised, this woman is a spitting image! To add, she has a background in acting!
