Macleans Canada Reports: Police using tear gas and water cannons clashed today with hundreds of lawyers to block them from reaching the barricaded house of Pakistan’s deposed chief justice. About 1,500 black-suited lawyers marched on the residence of Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry, the detained top judge of the Supreme Court, who was fired by President Pervez Musharraf three months ago. After the lawyers tried to breach the barbed-wire barricade, hundreds of police drove them back by firing tear gas and shooting water cannons from a fire truck.
Some of the lawyers threw stones at police. There were no immediate reports of serious injuries in the clash in the capital, Islamabad.
Earlier Saturday, Pakistan’s Bar Council announced a nationwide lawyers’ boycott of courts until Feb. 18 elections - part of a campaign to pressure the government to restore deposed top judges. Athar Minallah, a prominent Supreme Court lawyer, said the decision was made at a council convention in Islamabad before they marched on Chaudhry’s house. Musharraf axed the chief justice and 60 other top judges after Musharraf declared emergency rule on Nov. 3, before the Supreme Court had been set to rule on the legality of the U.S.-backed leader’s re-election as president.
Although Musharraf lifted the emergency in mid-December, Chaudhry, his wife and children have remained under house detention, and authorities have blocked repeated efforts by sympathetic lawyers and opposition activists to visit him.

Bare handed laywers have the power to confront the merciless generals and their master Uncle Sam. The commando is very much insecure and frightened of the brave judges and lawyers. He has not yet vacated the GHQ,but asks the chief justice of Pakistan to leave his house. This is the extreme type of Ghudaism and Badmashism.
Generals are truely Ghunda and Badmash because they have Klashankov and missiles at their desposal. Judges have conscious and faith to address the down trodden’s misery. Musharraf is the head of general’s mafia who have taken oath to bring back the 1971 episode.
Generals do not believe in rule of law,ethics and constitutionalism nor have taught to do so. They have leart a single lesson-to abuse the power.
They are usurping the wealth of the nation for the last 60 years. Today Pakistan’s foreign debt has exceeded beyond 40 billion US dollar. It is just because of the rule of the Badhmash and Gunda generals who are ruling the country at the behast of the US and ZIONISTS.
No matter how the country is sliping towards anachy they would remain firm to tear the country into parts. Their religion is to spread terror,chaos,panic and destruction. The are the killers and assassins ,mudrers and butchers. They would do what suits the US and Israel.

Musharraf has spoiled what he did in all these years, he have done a tremendous job with sectors like I.T. & Telecommunication but has really put himself to the sword with his dirty games….And let’s not forget Shaukat Aziz who have been telling him how to make people of Pakistan, THE POOREST.
