Two men arrested last week in connection with the assassination plot that killed Benazir Bhutto, the Pakistani opposition leader, admitted that they provided a suicide jacket and pistol to her attacker, said Chaudhry Abdul Majid, the police official leading the investigation. He said the two, Hasnain Gul and Rafaqat, met the bomber, identified as Bilal, in Rawalpindi the night before the Dec. 27 attack and provided him shelter. Mr. Majid said Hasnain Gul had told the police that he was seeking revenge for the death of a comrade killed in the military raid on the Red Mosque in Islamabad in July.
