London (PTI): Senior CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury has met National Workers Party of Pakistan (UK) leader Pervez Fateh here this week.
The talks between the two leaders were the latest in a series of closer contacts between the two parties, CPI(M) sources said.
Both the parties are seen as being instrumental in building initiatives to foster Left unity in Britain.
The CPI(M)’s Britain-based wing, the Association of Indian Communists (UK), is helping to build the Communist Party of Britain-led Unity for Peace and Socialism electoral alliance.
Earlier this month, the National Workers Party brought together a number of Pakistani groups and individuals to set up a Progressive Democratic Forum in Bradford.
