I am Dubai based Pakistani Agriculture graduate working in the field of Landscaping and Irrigation. I have been in UAE since 1998. There is great demand for Agriculture graduate having knowledge in Landscaping and Irrigation. Unfortunately our Agriculture graduate are lacking in it. There should be some sort of course to acquaint our graduate with this knowledge. Then they can secure their place in very competitive market of Middle East. Otherwise they have to start from scratch by accepting very low paid jobs and after getting experience in this field they will be able to get better paid jobs.

Even for our Matriculate and FSc passed youth short diploma can be offered in LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION. By getting this diploma and knowledge they can get a job of Foreman Landscaping and Irrigation. which is well paying job.

I wrote so many peoples in pakistan but no body is responsible enough.

Now I am thinking to come to Pakistan myself to start these both diploma and refresher courses. For this I want to have a separate Institute to start with. So that atleast I contribute somthing for the betterment of the poors.

    Hello Dear,
its really a good approach which should be appreciated and cooperated by all,
i am doing my own business in the field of nursery and landscape development in Islamabad, along with this i m part of a project in which Govt. of Pakistan intends to train the people in the field of nursery and landscape. this short course is basically for grade 3 level (gardeners). for this course i have developed a training manual which will provide basic plant knowledge and basic gardening techniques, first session will be most likely to start in August 2008, i will appreciate and welcome technical inputs.
but i think there should be a forum for horticulturists so they can share their experiences and ideas, it may be a club or society for people who are already in the practical field so that they can provide the latest market demands and requirements to the new guys.

Dadex is a great company to work for. I know many colleagues who are very happy to be associated with dadex in Pakistan. As per my knowledge the company has been aggressive in drip / sprinkler irrigation in Pakistan and is working with world leaders in this field.

I am Yasir from Faisalabad.Today i found this Pakistani landscaping web,and found that this is very useful for me.
Basically i am a collector of cacti & Succulents, and i have been collecting since year 2000.
In 2006 i have been made Cacti & Succulents Gardens in Many places.I think in Landscaping terminology it is called xeriscaping (Dry Gardening)
If any Landscaper want to create Cacti & Succulents garden in their landscape projects then i will work with him.
    My contact # 03216620132
    Thanks
