Indian Government officials speaking on condition of anonymity have said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit Pakistan sometime in the next couple of months for talks with his Pakistani counterpart Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani.
According to the officials, no specific date has been fixed for Singh’s visit “but it can take place in the next couple of months.”

This will be the first visit by an Indian premier in the last four years. The last tour was made in January 2004 by Atal Behari Vajpayee.

Foreign Secretary Shiv Shankar Menon will also visit Islamabad to review the fourth round of the ongoing Composite Dialogue between the two countries.
External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee is also expected to visit Pakistan soon.
