It is universal truth in pakistan that quality education is not being delivered in government schools and colleges. People who can afford it get their childeren admitted in to quality private schools and colleges. Even self finance seats are created in almost every public university to negate the just right of the poor. This self finance system can be reverted to a pure merit system. Even in entry tests malpractices are present and some sort of nepotism and favoritism is still keeping pace under the umbrella of entry tests.

The poor are bound to send their children to government schools which are lacking in staff and dedication to impart education. The elite and wealthy have separate schools teaching British and American curriculums.

PM Gilani only needs commitment to bring change in education. One executive order can transfer self finance seats to merit in all government universities and colleges. Similarly, entry tests can be abolished without incurring any money. Instead of entry tests there is need to strength our examination system so that we can trust whatever student has got in final examination.

The PPP claims to represent the poor so please do something for the poor. Give them level playing in education at least they will show their performance. Facts speak louder than words.
