The Restoration of judges is utmost essential for the stability of our nation. Mass protests by lawyers, boycott of the courts by them and political instability has shaken the foundations of this country. The existence of our nation has been dared as there is no respect for the most prominent leader of the country even if it’s iconic – The President.

When the President of the country gets ostracized, the only thing which gets signified is that the time of a revolution and rebellion has arrived. Musharaf should leave his office courteously but he is used to the comforts of the Army and President House and does not want to relinquish. Musharraf accuses the other leaders for corruption; ironically, he has been the most corrupt leader of all time in Pakistan. Ghulam Ishaq Khan ordered that not more than Rs 1000/day should be spent on the President while Rafiq Tarar reduced this menial amount furthermore. While Mr. Musharraf spends like a king, his recent European trip cost the exchequer millions is one good example. All these reasons along with the removal of the judges made the melting pot to explode. The lawyers have been the front runners in this rebellious movement because their institution was attacked directly by the President. The way the lawyers have stand united deserves a huge applause.

The reasons for which they deserve to be given a standing ovation are infinite because comparatively to other such movements around the world, this one has achieved immensely in a shorter span of time. Since March last year, the lawyers stood their ground against the tyrant and kick-started the revolution against the monarch. They wanted to prosecute him at the judiciary for his un-constitutional matters when Chaudary Iftikhar was reinstated. But, they did not lose hope and carried on their agitation after the draconian law of Martial Law/Emergency kicked the judges out of the court once again.

There were rallies all over Pakistan for the reinstallation of Chaudary Ifthikar. In that way, the lawyers educated the public the importance of the judicial system. They made the people understand that only way for a ‘free and fair’ judicial system is through a judiciary which does not tilt towards powerful personalities. There were two other groups of people who earned a lot due to this lawyer’s movement – political parties and the people of Pakistan.

Political parties who had confusion in their ranks, mainly opposition parties, stood united with the lawyers to achieve their goals. Their motive was to kick him out of his office and they knew that this is enough. They supported the lawyers, won elections on the manifesto of restoration of judiciary and people of Pakistan did the rest. The lawyers should never forget the support the people of Pakistan have given them by voting for Anti-Musharraf forces and vice versa. Crisis creates motivation and the molestation of the constitution motivated all for a revolution.

    Basit Saheb,
When writing an bad mouthing someone, one should research well into the history. Unfortunately, either you are too young or follow certain political parties agenda whose only purpose in life is bad mouthing Musharraf.
It is easy to open mouth and accuse because it is easy to do. But you have nothing to back it up. I am older than Pakistan and have been unfortunately seeing the same game being played again and again. You seem to follow the same path.
What we have seen a politician like Nawaz Sharif who being a product of Army and a chess piece reared and brought up by Zia to confront PPP. This man then tried to become a dictator as well. Musharraf who would and could have done far more tried to be a democrat and that was his misdeed.

Hope you will understand but will you?

Sir, with due apology and great respect,

while advising a young man not to bad mouth anyone without doing research you have taken the oppotunity to bad mouth Mr. Nawaz Sharif. You should understand that when swindlers in uniform force themselves on a nation the leaders must also learn to swindle the swindlers. You call Nawaz a product of the army as if it is the function of the army to produce politicians . You seem to suggest that the army has a registered trade mark kind of right on politicians. Next you will suggest that i should not eat my food without permission from my paid cook who has prepared it. Why dont you use your mind to think instead of repeating nonsense that you pick up from here and there and use your old age to sell it as wisdom. Most people have a weakend ability to think when they are old and should listen to the young instead of telling them what is right.
The last time i read the meaning of the army in the dictionary it was a force established to fight to protect a country not a factory to produce politicians.
Are you happy with Shaukat Aziz and the Chaudhries who have plundered this country under Musharaf.

Hnmm, respect elders. i wonder what you mean by that. We take care of our elders, love them and make them feel wanted. When we see an elderly person in the bus we let him have the seat. But if you are suggesting that we should allow an elderly to drive the bus on the motorway out of respect i will totally disagree with you. Our lives are more important than the irrational desire of an elderly. But that is a different issue.

Mr Zardari has tied his tail with that of the uniformed gorilla to save his bunch of bannanas but our Mian Nawaz Sharif is comming and this gorilla better leave this forrest before he arrives because therwise there will be a big mess. He will have to take Zardari with him because now their tails are tied. Mian Sahib will restore the judges and root out corruption from the soil of Pakistan and judiciary. He will smash the traitors to smithreens. He will break the hands of the person who will break the constitution or use fifty eight too be.

We love our army and respect what they did during the aearthquake and the various other clamities like the floods. They are our brave brothers who lead a hard life braving elements training and staying prepared to protect the country. But it is the scoundrels like Ayub, Yahya, Zia and Musharaf who live in luxury and who made sure that two previous generation lived and died in misery.
This is over now. This will not be allowed by the people anymore. Mian Sahib is here now
