Pakistan People’s Party has shown its true colors. Sadly, it has shown that they are ones who cannot keep their word. Moreover, if the judges are not restored, it is a definite political suicide for the party. The party had pledged that they would restore the judges with dignity before the elections and even the Late Benazir Bhutto stated that,’ Our Chief Justice is Chaudary Ifthikar and we will hoist the Pakistani flag once again at his home’. But today the hearts of Pakistanis are heavy because it is carrying the burden of sorrow- the sorrow caused due to the aristocratic behavior of Mr. Zardari.
Zardari wants to be the ‘Birbal’ of ‘Akbar’ Musharaf; therefore, PPP is fighting with PML Q for the title of ‘A-TEAM’ of the establishment. And it can be easily said that they have snatched this title from them with a landslide victory. Zardari is happy that with military support he would be able to rule and loot Pakistan, but that prophecy of his untrue and his thinking is not even smarter than a 5th grader. He supports the establishment, who are the biggest dacoits, who desire to rule over Pakistan illegally by denying the people their basic human rights. Praises should be showered on the acumen of Quaid-e-Azam. he knew before hand that the military would create problems for politicians in the future, there fore, he had put a clause in the constitution which barred army members to indulge and intoxicate in politics. The punishment for breach was death penalty as it is considered to be treason in the eyes of the law- truly indeed. But Zardari and his Self interested Boss are trying to make the law blind, so that they can use it for their own evil purposes, without being caught. Dream on, its not going to happen !
The deposing of the judges was an illegal move by a dictator who wanted to evade justice. This cannot be allowed as it is the duty of everyone to obey the constitution. Pakistan is ours and not the property of few who don’t fear the wrath of God. Musharaf molested the constitution several times, while Zardari is molesting the molested furthermore. Musharaf and Zardari have forgotten that this Pakistan is not the one who is going to sit down and watch tyrants carry out injustices. Zardari has said that the PCO judges should not be removed, this desire of his is as obscene as Michael Jackson’s for children. Zardari
It knows how to stand for its right, and with the grace of God, NOW THE PEOPLE WOULD TAKE THE MATTERS in their hands. Devil has not created a workshop in their heads, instead they are the devils who are trying to create workshops in our land so that evilness, lawlessness and fraud spreads into the minds of the masses. It is heartrending to see Zardari breaking the Muree Accord along with he also crushing the desires of the nation under his shoes. By not restoring the judges, he’s proved that he is hungry for power and money, and one should not be shocked if sells his own motherland for it. Which is EXACTLY WHAT HE is doing !
Mr. Zardari wake up, wake up, WAKE UP from your deep slumber which was caused by the intoxication of the whisky – ‘Lust of Power’. Take the panadol of ‘Caution’ so that you get out of your hangover and make the right decisions. And if you still remain sick, then remain sick, because we know how to get FIT people back into business, you forgot Feb. 18 so soon? Indeed, very bad memory!

” EVERYTHING RETURNS TO ITS ORIGIN “.
I dont agree with the observation putforth by a fellow as ” Zardari’s drunk because of Power “.
He is a ” Zardari ” by Genes, son of Hakim Ali Zardari. His past as as a ” Play Boy “, before his calculated and un-fortunate marriage with Be-Nazir Bhutto ( un-fortunate for Be Nazir, P.P.P. and Pakistan ) and thereafter his ” Polo Days ” in the PrimeMinister house were a foregone conclusion what he is doing today.
Mr. 10% of 1988 to 1990 and Mr. 100% of 1993 to 1996, lead the way to the disgraceful exit of both P.P.P. led governments. He lead his wife to depart from the Z.A.Bhutto legacy and opt for the ” horse trading ” policies of Mr. Nawaz Sharif and go for amassing ill-gotten wealth to make her rule strengthen by following Nawaz’s Policies. Mr. Zardari’s intention and all time dream was to be the richest man of Pakistan. He got Surrey Mahal, Swiss Bank Accounts, Farm houses, overseas properties all over the place and got P.P.P.P.’ s co-Chair person as a reward, after the ” well planned ” exit of Be-Nazir Bhutto,
for a very low price of sharing his Zardari title with Bhuttos and announcing his son ” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari “.
As the cowards these people are, he preferred to stay home for his personal safety for 40- days to shed crocodile tears over Be Nazir’s Bhutto’s death to mourn her death instead of cashing on the sympathy wave of Be Nazir’s death in the most vital election campaign to restore Democracy and Judiciary. His silence on the most heated debate of Restoration of Judiciary cleared theway for Nawaz Sharif’s Party to attain election victory in Punjab which surprised everyone including Mr. Nawaz Sharif.
Elevating the infamous ” Mr.Rehman” as the Advisor for Interior Ministry was a shock for all those P.P.P. loyalists who condemned Mr. Rehman for his shady role as The Chief Security Officer of Be-Nazir Bhutto, ultimately resulting into ” Sazgar Tragedy” and then to “Shahdat” of Mohtarma Be-Nazir Bhutto. Instead the most loyal Amin Fahim was made a soft target because he was travelling in the same death ride Pajero whereupon a suicide plus ” laser ” gun attack was launched for a fool proof targetting of Be Nazir Bhutto’s squad. Mr. Rehman has become the ” blue eyed” boy of America, Musharraf and Mr. Zardari.
The initial appointments made by Mr.Zardari’s proxy Government such as Mr.Durrani as the National Security Advisor, Mr. H.Haqqani as the Ambassador to U.S.A., Mr. ( sorry for not recalling hisname right now ) as The Deputy Chief of Planning Division were a clear indication to his future intentions. I wonder why Mr. Zardari has not initiated any step towards launching of an F.I.R. from the P.P.P.P. side for which Be Nazir went to Sind High Court and got it registered by the order of the court, to be dismissed later on by the Kangroo Court of General Musharraf’s Emergency Rule Proclamation. It also, intriguingly, took me back to the brutal murder of Mir Murtaza Bhutto and the alleged role of Mr. Zardari in that murder, so viciferously pleaded by Mir. Murtaza Bhutto’s wife Ghanwa and later on by his daughter Fatima Bhutto. It also reminded me of the disgraceful behaviour shown to Mir. Murtaza Bhutto’s family, alongwith Mumtaz Bhutto, on the death of Be Nazir Bhutto. He did not want any Bhutto inside Nou Dero but only the Name of Bhuttos to sell. ( They too are saleable commodity as His foreign Minister thinks Mr.Musharraf is a saleable commodity ).
Sales / purchases are in the blood of Mr. Zardari.
I am the last person to be surprised by any gimmicary of Mr. Zardari. He remembers the so-called ( and concocted ) “Will” of Be Nazir Bhutto to appoint ” him ” the Chair Person of Z.A.Bhutto’s Peoples Party but prefers to forget the words of Be Nazir Bhutto, shown on the TV Channels every day, accepting Mr. Iftekhar Choudhry as Her Chief Justice and promosing to wave the National Flag on his residence. There IS a METHOD in his MADNESS. WOW !!!. The only tragedy happened to Mr. Zardari was the ill-planned postponement of the June bye elections, so stupidly planned by Mr. Rehman and so intelligenctly exposedby the Media and the N.W.F.P. ChiefMinister. Rest are to follow, as Mr. Musharraf and his patrons will make another ” Q League ” out of Mr. Zardari. He has not learned his lesson from the treatment metedout to Ch. Shujaat Hussain and Q League. Mr. Musharraf will prove too good for him and its not going to take much time. MIND MY WORDS. Mr. Musharraf can go below the hell for his power lust and so does mr. Zardari for his lust for money. The only edge Mr. Musharraf has got over Zardari is that he represents the Real Power/s. Mr. Musharraf can sacrifice Pakistan to remain in Power and Zardari can sacrifice his wife and brother in law alongwith P.P.P.P… Yk 2… s, are tailor made for this stuff.
Ms. Be Nazir Bhutto realised her mistakes and decided to follow the path of her father, ” I would prefer to be killed by the Army rather than the HISTORY”, written from his death cell. He SURVIVED and won his party three electoral victories from his grave. So will Be Nazir Survive as another MARVI from SIND. Mr.Musharraf will go in the history as YK-2 and Zardari as another Mir Jaafar / Mir Sadiq and a back stabber of the peoples trust. He could not sleep for one night in his Surrey Mahal and he will not rest in his grave in peace.
INSHA ALLAH.

His name is salman farooqi - head of planning comission and was involved in lot of scandals during benazir government.
I don’t know what’s going behind the scenes but I would give credit to sharifs for making it clearly look like that PPPP is the culprit in not restoring judges and I think this would play really badly for PPPP in any future elections.
On the other hand, I think this issue is dragging on for too long and is really hurting us a a nation … look at economy that is failing miserably and no body cares because we all are too focused on getting those judges restored ….
Don’t take me as against restoring judges but I think proper attention and focus should be given to other issues.
If this government crumbles, we are in deep deep deep sh***t…
6 Abdul Basit Khawaja // May 12, 2008 at 1:01 pm
Raza you are absolutely right, there are other matters which should be dealt with immediately. Restoring the judges and not dealing with other stuff is a stupid alibi ! Respective ministers should concentrate and establish policies. Its a wrong perception given by the government that because of the ‘restoration of the judges’, other issues are not being touched. Such a thought is absurd and doesnt signify anything. When one is not able to carry multiple tasks, he is not fit to be a leader/minister/wteva !

Salam to all;
Deal ka pol khul gaya.
Anyone who was denying the deal between BB & Mush much eat his words. Not restoring Iftikhar Chaudhry and his colleagues was the integral part of this deal.
Everybody knows that if ex-judiciary is restored then what will be the future of NRO.
So, zardari is simply honouring that deal.

This is the saddest part in our country where wishes of the few are imposed on the general public. Democracy means to respect each and everyone’s view. If a group of people think that judges should not be restored or vice versa, that should be respected. But, overall what the majority of Pakistan decided should be the final verdict on the judges’ issue. and the FINAL VERDICT IS RESTORATION OF THE JUDGES. We should encourage those people who have the courage to stand against dictatorship. Dictatorship is not a way of rule, and it is not even allowed Islamically. Islam should be kept in the perception because PAKISTAN KA MATLAB KYA - There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of God. We have to follow Quran and Sunnah which does not allow an individual to make the decision of all. Its the Majlis-e-amal which makes the decision and passes it on to the Khalifa to pass the final verdict. Sadly, Pakistan is a muslim state but such type of governance is not present. Altough somewhat similar is the parliament system we have and we should follow it as it the closest.
We have to come out of politics which revolves around individuals. We have to accept issue based politics and that is what restoration of judges is all about.

Go to the gulf countries and see how the pakistanis are treated.

Additionally, there is no place for human kings in our Islamic system of governance because the title ‘king’ is for the Almighty Allah

Politicized & biased judges should not be restored. Zardari is doing fine & sensibly. Not like chicken hearted and double minded Nawaz Sharif.
18 Abdul Basit Khawaja // May 20, 2008 at 12:57 am
They are being politcized. CJ has never spoken a word against any personality. He has only criticised those people who have done crimes.
Cant the judges criticise the people who broke the law and got away with it ?
19 Abdul Basit Khawaja // May 20, 2008 at 1:00 am
Aitzaz Ahsan himself said on GEO that Musharraf was advised wrongly by Sharifudeen Pirzada and Malik Mohd Qayyum. He said that the court would have given him some indemnity on the case of his qualification of Presidency. He said that he believed that 30 % of the decision would have been in his favour. Musharraf dropped the axe on his foot himself by breaking the constitution. The judges were never biased and I challenge you to give me just 1 EXAMPLE of it !
20 najmi // May 20, 2008 at 2:50 pm
ppl.s read this from old news .
In January 2000 Chief Executive General Musharraf dictated that all superior court judges swear a new oath under the PCO No.1 issued on October 15, 1999, which had suspended the Constitution of Pakistan. After swearing an oath on the PCO Justice Iftikhar was elevated to the Supreme Court on 4 February 2000. He was appointed as Chief Justice of Pakistan on 7 May 2005 by President General Pervez Musharraf.
so why so much drama for new pco judges.after all they all are taking same oath.
theu should sit togather &solve the problem of common men

Dear Sir/Madam,
Is USA our Friend or Master ?
Since the creation of Pakistan our ruler have turn their faces toward a mighty democratic regime of USA who never proved a real friend of Pakistan, keeping Pakistan as backward state depending on USA and never encourage or help the country in becoming basic industrial state while providing debt in billions and supplying the readymade product in Pakistan, mean the Pakistan was developed as the market place for American products,
and an instrument to protect American interest in the region, which our ruler are doing with full loyalty but perhaps the master is not satisfy.
Therefore, USA continues to influence our internal politics and dictating our leaders and institution as well. USA was supporting the feudal politician and weakening the institution, ignoring the real democracy in Pakistan.
At present they (US/NATO) are fighting their war of military/political interest in the region, involving the dependent country like Pakistan, under intimidation of sever consequences to bear, if refuse to support them; The current demand draft of 11 points, submitted by the so-called democratic imperialistic state of USA is a clear sign to a sovereign government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to accept and obey as matter of master’s voice. This act is a kind of intimidation and direct involvement in the internal matter of a sovereign state. This act create a question as if we are really a sovereign state or part and partial of USA,
Because, they want Pakistan to fight and kill his own people under one ploy or another, want to drag them in to the chaos and uncertainty, so that they can further impose more condition on the Pakistani Government to follow them, dip and dip until armed forces of Pakistan loose the trust of the Pakistani people and come openly to fight against his own people like they did in east -Pakistan, this is the movement they (USA) are waiting for, so that their, in time financial help to the traitor can play the role to disintegrate the strength of the nuclear country.
This is a moment invite us all for serious consideration weather to keep our independence in tact or bow down before this mighty evil, democratically bullying to accept the terms and condition of his interest, or in other words be ready to loose our independence for ever.
This act create a question as if we are really a sovereign state or part and partial of USA,
This is a moment invite us all for serious consideration weather to keep our independence in tact or bow down before this mighty evil, democratically bullying to accept the terms and condition of USA or in other words be ready to loose our independence for ever. Now a days there are so many elements within the country influenced by the mighty, to work for money and benefit even at the cost of our freedom.
This moment in time invites serious concern of all patriotic forces and peace loving citizen in the country to think and start to join the rank and file before it is too late, for the protection of dignity, respect and sovereignty of this country, considering these demands as prior warning for the adverse events to happen.

Dear Sir/Madam,
Where are we going ….?
Muhammad Ali Jinnah, The FATHER OF NATION, in his 11 August 1947 Speech to the Constituent Assembly made it adequately clear that it would be a comprehensive and pluralistic democracy promising equal rights for all citizens regardless of religion, caste or creed, Pakistan was born as democratic state. In fact it has been failure of Pakistan socio-political system ,where in, Pakistani people are left at distant from the corridor of power so that the ruling elite, can do what they wanted to do in favors of their interest, leaving the Pakistani people at the mercy of circumstances. As this policy is denial of right of Pakistani people to rule their country according to their aspiration and desire to build this country, which can provide equal opportunity to all without any discrimination for the establishment of welfare society the dream never, come true till today.
Because of corrupt politician of Pakistan the army was tempted again and again to place for one after another military rule. It would be wrong to blame Pakistan army wholly for having usurped power for more than half of its life. It was in fact feudal corrupt politician that facilitated first martial law in Pakistan.
There can be no denying that Chief of CIA and his brother John Foster Dulles who was then Secretary of State who played key role in bringing Pakistan under martial law the feudal politician were responsible for the army rule. As unfolding the situation that brought Pakistan under martial law. Altaf Gauhar, biographer of Ayub Khan writes, Americans convinced their friend Iskander Mirza to handover power to Ayub Khan on 7 October 1958. Had there been shrewd political leadership in Pakistan in 1958, perhaps democracy would have taken firm roots in our country. Again, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto shown eagerness and patience during 7 March 1977 elections not to speak of Pakistan coming under martial law, perhaps, would have been alive and ruling at present. He would have most likely won a majority, even if not two thirds of majority. Apparently it was again weak handling of the post-Kargil war situation by political leadership that catapulted General Musharraf to power.
.
However, it is not for the first time that people of Pakistan have spoken in favors of democracy, but whenever they got a break, they manifested their faith in democracy, so they did it on 18 February 2008, but did it work, no, therefore in order to get rid of socio-economic grievances we need to change the system at large. We did not have any outcome during change of faces since last 60 years. Is this not enough for a nation or do we need more humiliation or loss to the nation before we learn the lesson ?
The Political leadership in Pakistan needs to understand that it was people’s anger against the establishment that went into the ballot-boxes, and not one but all the political parties that have benefited from the popular rise, be obliged it to the voting public to work in combination, because no single party is in a position to go it alone. It seems that the wisdom from past mistakes has distilled upon Pakistan leadership and there is all likelihood of emergence of a national consensus for running of the country.
It will be difficult to expect any thing positive at this stage because, return of political leadership of PPP and PML(N) to Pakistan was subject to condition, political coalition cannot take creative action or dare to change policy of the national interest till general Musharaf is as president, current government need to take patriotic political decision in the interest of Pakistan without fear of American anger or their commitment and support during mediation process with USA.
Presidents and Prime Minister have come and gone in the past but it did not make a difference, regarding President Musharaf role about Country , there can be no two opinions as to whose, approach was proper or in the interest of people of Pakistan. No political party that was in the election arena raised a finger against the centralized power in the hands of one person or few of them Nobody talk about to empower the Pakistani at grass route level, why? Because they to, want to grab, total power in their own hand so how politician differ from musharaf mean all eggs are one and the same in the basket.
We have already lost the major part of Pakistan in 1971 simply to save the centralized sole power in the hands of ruling elite to exploit this country by the ruling leaders they let the country break in part then allowing the masses to rule this country democratically. In the present circumstances we are again dragging our sovereignty at stack for the external interest in the name of national interest, instead of our interest i.e. the interest of Pakistani people at large.
That mean only the society base on tolerance, equality and justice can be the real guarantee for the prosperous and strong Pakistan there for your intent is invited to the crucial movement which could be the point of distraction or disaster.
The only way -out of these crucial circumstances is to empower the common Pakistani at grass route level i.e. the change of system. This change is inevitable for the prosperous Pakistan .As a citizen of this country I have try to provide an alternate socio-political system to empower the masses at grass route level for rapid industrial and agriculture development with transparency and accountability in the system. Along with basic guarantees for the creation of welfare state, where in public representative and institution shall be answerable and accountable to the masses. I alone cannot make the change but together we can turn the table, and make the dream come true.

Its a shame but the MMA and PML Q passed the PCO to give indemnity to Musharraf. MMA supported the cause because Muharraf promised to resign but he broke the promise he made to the nation. Therfore, a law which has been passed by the parliament is part of the constitution. Its a sad thing, but cant we do something to stop such acts now ?
Cant we start voting for issues rather than personalities..?
Cant we make things better in Pakistan ?
Dont we want to make things better in Pakistan ?

Well did read the above comments… but I am still a pro- Musharraf now… i will agreee from some facts that the writer has said.. but i will certainly say that some people make mistakes, we should learn to forgive them. afterall all this time, Mr musharraf had bought a radicle change in our system. We have earned some respect overseas and lastly gained economic boom bcouz of his policies.
If p[eople can forgive Nawaz Sharef, BB and zardari and vote them to lead.. then why not Musharraf.. now since he was elected by a LEGAL parliament.. so inorder to promote democracy why dont u continue to let him live.. to really promote that the new govt wants democracy.. else even if the enw govt fires Musharraf then there will be no difference between this new govt and previous govts who always fired each otehr.. hence in the end we will see another 1990-1998 era of musical chairs happening..

Lot of waters has gone through under the bridges since 20th May-08. Situation is rapidly changing in Baluchistan and NWFP. Seems nobody cares. Looks like groups are forming on the basis of areas and provinces. A day will come when a PPP MNA/MPA will talk in favor of Kalabagh Dam & a MNA/MPA of PML (N) will talk in favor from Sind. Every thing looks like very dangerous and sad. Both Elected leaders Mr. Nawaz and Mr. Zardari along with Mr. Musharraf are necessary part of any solution for the stability and existent of Pakistan. Judiciary should be independent and free of any pressure but now not at the cost of the country.

hi everyone,
we elected those currupt faces again and see what they did….anything got better ?..no!..i think right now judiciary should not be the issue #1,its the basic needs of a common man, govt.shouldhv done it it on emergency basis.no electricity..no roti..water supply…low wages..its a long list..people are commiting suicide becouse of the height of frustration, who will do that?make things right for poors..i wish we had a single soul in pakistan who would sit in the parliment and do some sincere work for people, zardari, nawaz, musharaf, gillani are all the same..all tried and tested anf failed to make a change, i am amazed, why cant they see the laymen’s problems …i feeel like screaming and talk to allah almighty…to send some one like hazrat umar, hazrat ali, who wouldnt sleep peacfully if even one of his riaya was hungry or suffering………we need a miracle..alllah please save our pakistan.
