Now you may ask who on earth is Sajid Jokhio ….and why do you even care about him. Well, there are types of thieves and criminals, some are petty thieves but others are of the more serious kind, the kind that strangle a nation with their incompetence.

Why do i “accuse” Sajid of being a criminal strangling the nat ion, because I will make a case of his criminal act, with proof available publicly. The case is as follows:

Muhammad Sajid Jokhio - Criminally using our Zakat

His soul-less picture stares at us in Dawn (maybe other papers today too), in an advertisement on BB’s posthumous Birthday. Now I have nothing again PPPP, which has suckered us on Musharaf and restoration of judicary. But having a Provincial Minister for Zakat, Ushr and Religious affairs spending his budget on an advertisement is too much to handle!! As a tax (and forced Zakat deductions) paying citizen, what is the source of the fund for the advertisement(s)? Is it Zakat money? Is this not a crime, given we live in a country where the Chief Justice is out looking for Justice? How dare he stick his personal picture in an advertisement paid for by the zakat payers! The picture of the advert is attached, sorry for the poor quality …i’ve been paying zakat and taxes to a government and so havent been able to afford the n95.

Salman Taseer Zardari

While we’re at it …your tax rupees are at work in providing banner support for Zardari’s trip to Punjab, courtesy Salman Taseer. Who says we’re a poor nation nose diving towards bankruptcy, we’ve got ample funds. Or overflowing funds, given the number of banners that were put up all across Lahore. Salman Taseer ensured the adverts were attributed to him, notice the “Salman Taseer, Governer Punjab” in the picture, just incase someone like Shabaz Sharif (Chief Minister) might take credit for putting them up :-S !

Squandering of public Zakat money is morally and legally wrong. But who cares about morality and legality in Pakistan. No wonder Zardari doesnt want judges of integrity.

The article is not clear on the identity of this person. Perhaps the author is referring to a minister in the Sindh cabinet (just a guess). Or may be a Punjab minister, when the reference to Governor Punjab is also there. ????

  • 2 ali // Jun 23, 2008 at 2:51 pm

Hi is a minister in the Sindh government, I assume he is a jiala. So is the case with the governor of Punjab, who is also a jiala. Both are spending the very little money that the government has on useless self or party promotions

  • 3 shehriyar khan // Jun 25, 2008 at 2:25 pm

ya both are jialas but the second one seems to be more than a jiala who attended the tomb of bb after five months of her death.

  • 4 shehriyar khan // Jun 25, 2008 at 2:28 pm

ya both are jialas but the second one seems to be more than a jiala who wears the label of pppp while loyal to musharaf, who attended the tomb of bb after five months of her death.

they all are thieves, but we want them only as ,they say they are the champions of democrecy & independent judicery
just one decision against nawaz sharif by lahore high court & all judiciry support finish from nawaz group that means they all want judges of their choice
    long live pakistan

I have went up to roots of this article and found that the amount has been spent on the advertisement of above article , was withdrawn from his own business. On the other hand later is not a complete jyala, because he offerd fatah on the tomb of BB the great shaheed muhtrama.

I have went up to the roots of this article and found that the amount has been spent on the advertisement of above article, was withdrawn from his own business. On other hand later does not seem a parfect jiala, because perhapes he was waiting for the governorship to come in hand and then he will go to offer fatah otherwise he would have not did so.

  • 8 ali // Oct 6, 2008 at 3:55 pm

@advocate the advertisement has a huge “government of Sindh” on it, which implies that the tax payers paid for the advertisement. How exactly did you get to the “roots of this article” ?

Hi, I pray from Allah to give sense to our leaders not to spend any public wealth for their own interest. I hope if any minister reads this comment will stop for a while and must take a look on the poor public before he spend any money which belong to the deserving poor and disable people.

heyyyy guys i have a question ? Do u know him personally? I have spent lot of time with him. He is one of my good friend he have his own bussiness. As you ppl dont know the banners have their own funds which has no limit if he made some banners that doesnt mean that he used zakkat money .He is well enough to make thousands of banners like this .

  • 12 ali // Oct 14, 2008 at 2:34 pm

@USA - So you’re justifying a Zakat minister wasting our money on a useless advertisement. Shame on him for having “his own business” and yet spending taxpayers money like a toilet roll, he should be spending his time serving the nation not wasting our money!

As a tax payer of this God foresaken country, I demand to know why my tax rupees are being wasted to publish pictures of morons and their useless messages which bring no value to the hard earned Rs being taxed!

Salam to all readers, I would say here that web readers should remain cool and calm.Further I understand from the comments that this matter has turned as issue. But never mind here in our country, where we live the trend is to pull legs of others.

It seems Ali is vanished, as A.D.jokhio threatened him.Everybody has right to comment open heartedly abd critisise on any person who is misusing the govt. funds, but here some well wishers of accused has started to scare the people that donot agree with their point of view. You saw the American presidential election. try to learn from them may God bless you

  • 25 ali // Nov 7, 2008 at 11:55 am

I am very much here and will like to quote an Ayat of the Quran

    002.007
YUSUFALI: Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).
    002.008
YUSUFALI: Of the people there are some who say: “We believe in Allah and the Last Day;” but they do not (really) believe.

Let these be an eye opener for all of us. Surely those who of us who are still blessed with open heart, hearing and eyes will know when we commit a sin (be at against Allah or humanity). And I would rather not get into a political discussion with a politician, afterall they are the equivalents of the poets of the pre-Islamic era, where they held great powers due to their hold on language and its ability to convince people of things not necessarily true.
My prayer is may Allah put our leaders on the right path. And if our leaders are beyond that stage, then may Allah wipe them and their lines off the planet and may I and my loved ones not be of those whom He admonishes. Ameen!
