The following Urdu article in Daily naw-e-waqt is an indictment of General Musharraf with associated evidence. Here is translation of some main charges:

  1. Musharraf revealed all state secrets and put the blame on Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, ignoring that all the “crimes” he confessed to in his book were committed while he was in office and in charge of the nuclear program as the sitting chief of army staff.
  2. His entire rule is the story of a scared man, who sold almost anything to save himself in power.
  3. Musharraf testified that the most dangerous terrorist of the world are sitting in Pakistan.
  4. He helped the Islamophobes label every single religious institution in Pakistan a hub for terrorism.
  5. He handed over at least 600 Muslims to the US in the name of terrorists and testified that all those who are bent on destroying the US are sitting in Pakistan.
  6. He gave India in writing that Pakistan had been involved in terrorist activities on Indian soil.
  7. He testified that Azad Kashmir was the hub of “Jihadies.”
  8. He launched an operation at home to let the world believe that he is fighting the terrorist who are bent on destroying the outside world and Pakistan is responsible for that threat to the world peace.
  9. He confirmed the anti-Pakistan propaganda that Pakistan has been involved in nuclear proliferation.
  10. He proved with his words and deeds that Taliban in Pakistan are responsible for the attacks in Afghanistan.
  11. With a failed Kargil operation he proved to the world that Pakistan is an irresponsible, jingoist and dangerous state.
  12. He cursed and abused the Chief Justice of Pakistan in every nook and corner of the world to show the world that we have this kind of judges in Pakistan.
  13. He told the world again and again that Pakistanis do not deserve democracy and human right.

I am in total agreement with the views expressed in this article. However I feel that there is no need for more evidence against Musharraf. His own book ” In the Line of Fire ” is in fact F.I.R. against Pakistan and himself. The enemies of Pakistan dont need more evidence for bashing Pakistan and any free court needs not further evidence to convict Musharraf for treason and betrayal. Musharraf is a proven traitor and everyone supporting him, within or outside the Army, is a traitor as well. His Rule is the worst thing that has happened to Pakistan.

Some of the main charges have not been serialized as 1. He broke the Constitution of Pakistan two times and declared Martial Law in the name of Emergency. 2.He got himself illegally elected as President of Pakistan by the outgoing N.A. 3. He told a lie first in removing his uniform after making promise with the Nation in N.A. 2nd did not got vote of confidence from the present N.A. though he promised. He is Breaker of Constitution of Pakistan 4. He is Traitor of the country as he gave the permission to US Army to bomb any area of Pakistan in search of the so called Al Qaida.

I am not anti or in favor of the president, but i am certainly not in favor of the other two (Mr. 10% and Nawaz). Some times friends you do things in the larger interest of the country for which you have no explanation at a given point of time, and i think that is all what had happened. So i believe we should give the president a chance to come up and give his side of the story. But having said all that my question is that, is this the right time for going into a conflict. Our country is almost on the edge of being called as a failed state, we have no electricity, no food, no water and what not. i think the priority of the new govt. should have been the public their issues and problems rather then taking revenge from the president. Rest i believe you all understand that we all are duty bound to the USA so i believe that they wanted now mushraf to go and they brought in these two to act like puppets for them.

This comes from a true Pakistani who is thinking for his country, always.

The worst is yet to come!!!
What should be done to Mushrraf is not the question. The question is “where are we standing?”
“Are we starting to loose our position as a separste independant state?”
