Jumeirah Group has signed an agreement with Pakistan’s Zahdan Retail Private Ltd that will see the expansion of the Dubai hotel operator’s restaurant business in Pakistan.

Jumeirah’s branded restaurant division, The Taste Department, plans to set up 12 Noodle House outlets in Pakistan over the next five years. Murtaza Hashwani, chairman and CEO of Zahdan Group, said the company will roll out restaurants in major Pakistani cities.

“The first Noodle House outlet is to open in Lahore by the last quarter of this year followed by Karachi, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Islamabad,” he said. Steven Grey, general manager of The Taste Department, said: “This agreement is another step forward in the division’s plan to licence 100 Noodle House restaurants worldwide by 2012.”
