Pakistan’s Musharraf will resign

Mr Musharraf denied being an enemy of democracy
Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, who is facing impeachment by parliament, says he will resign.
The charges against the president include violation of the constitution and gross misconduct.
Mr Musharraf said he had always put the interests of Pakistan and its people first and was confident that the charges against him would not stand.
But he said this was not the time for more confrontation and he was resigning after consulting his advisers.
Truth and lies
Mr Musharraf said that when he took over in a military coup in 1999, Pakistan was going to be declared a failed state and faced great economic challenges.
He said that “false allegations were made against me” by people who “tried to turn the truth into lies”.
Dressed soberly in a dark suit and tie, he then started a long defence of the country’s economic record, detailing the progress he said it had made under his rule.
He said the problems Pakistan faced could be solved if people worked together and believed in themselves.
Mr Musharraf decided to address the nation as ministers warned over the weekend that impeachment proceedings against him could begin as early as Tuesday of this week.
Mr Musharraf, the former army chief and a key ally in Washington’s war on terror, came to power in a bloodless coup in 1999.
He was forced to give up control of the armed forces last year.
The president’s public standing suffered a huge setback in 2007 when he sacked Pakistan’s chief justice and nearly 60 judges to prevent them from overturning his re-election as president.
But analysts say the president is still thought to have heavy influence over the military and its reaction will remain crucial.

This is absurd that though Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Butto robbed our Pakistan and then still

our stupid people welcomed them with open arms…Though I agree only with Islamic Law

(Caliphate/Shariah Law) but in general comparing Musharaf to Banzair and Nawaz Sharif,

Musharaf is gold because he stayed in his country (Pakistan) and did not go to England and

made mansions/bungalows etc like the other two (above) did… and he did so much for

Pakistan i.e got rid off dangerous Mountain Valley drives in NWFP from Kohat to Darra and he

made motor ways etc etc though he did harm some of our Muslim brothers and sisters so he’s

good as well as bad but others such as Nawaz Sharif and Benazir and Altaf Hussain and A.A.

Zardari are nothing but looters… so we should be wise…

Any ways this was just a thought as our Nabi Karim Muhammad (saw) has ordered us not to go

against our leaders even if they are bad or there will be chaos…

However democracy is Shirk anyway because Allah (SWT) has said in Qur’an (translated

wordings are somewhat like) that any one practices (or believes) laws other than the Law of

Allah (SWT) is not a Muslim…so believing in democracy/Jamhooriath is kufr…may Allah (SWT)

    guide us all…(A’ameen)

Indeed, yesterday was a very sad day for all Pakistan and President lovers. We have been deprived of a great leader in the name of democracy. But let me say, all it happens because of we silent majority who never cast its vote. If this silent majority cast its vote in Feb 2008 election, the situation might be different. He was the man who have a vision on each and every problem of the nation whether it is water, electricity, education and health etc. He took the economy on its peek and its benefits were supposed to tickle down to the poor during this five years which unfortunately have been given to the corrupt political leaders in the name of democracy. Democracy in Pakistan itself is joke, where people doesn’t know for whom they are casting their votes due to illiteracy. They have been asked just to put the stamp on such and such election symbol; where the vote is casted not on the basis of parties manifestos, but on the basis of different affiliations i.e. religious, baradri, under the influence of Sardar, Vadera, Jagirdar and so on. That’s why, during last 61 years, we are having politicians from the same segments of the society for whom the politics is business and trade who either way whether they come into the power or remain in opposition, make money and accumulate their bank balances and assets. Their parties are their properties i.e. PPPP, PML(N), PML(Q), APN, JI(F) of their family and run by the family members only one after the other. The history reveals that only 30 to 40% registered voters cast their votes which is divided into number of political parties. Keeping in view the influence of aforementioned segments, official and unofficial riggings, the party who gets hardly 10% votes claims the majority party having overwhelming majority for forming the government. The remaining 70%/60% registered voters who do not cast their vote and unregistered voters are given no value and its impact is totally ignored. The dilemma of our nation is that we were sleeping on 13th August, 1947 and when woke up next morning we got a new country called Pakistan. If we go through the history, we will find that only a handful personnel from the existing Pakistan region took the part in Independence movement. That’s why majority of us and especially our leaders don’t have national spirit. We and our leaders always keep in our minds our own interest and benefits only. Whatever has happened with President Musharaf provides us an opportunity to think about the lake of sincere leadership, our political environment, the character and attitude of our politicians and above all is this the true democracy? Our leaders are making the general public fool in the name of democracy and enhancing their wealth and assets. Now the destiny of our nation and country is in the hands two unelected corrupt leaders. President well said in his last address to the nation “Pakistan Ka Khuda Hafiz”. I strongly believe that without eliminating feudal and bradri systems, increasing literacy level and cultivating national spirit we cannot have a true democracy. It seems only my dream since the power brokers in our country can never do it or allow to to it. In fact, it seems that our country is in the grip of different kind of mafias i.e. politicians, drug, land, food/grains mafia, stock exchange mafia etc and they are playing their respective roles for their own interest and gains. General public cannot do any thing to get any relief or to get rid of them unless and until there should be a bloody revolution in which at least 20/50 lakhs should be killed. There is no other option to save the country.

    Regards

    Salman Mansoor

we pakistanis deserve what we get. this foolish nation was obssessed with lawyers movement for some stupid judge. i have seen the courts in Pakistan. every court. curroption is rampant. from judge to a chowkidar, every one wants bribes. a pig face like aitizaz or his donkeys wont protest how poor pakistanis get raped in those courts by judges, lawyers, police, peons..name it and they do it. musharraf was the only man that responded to a common citizen’s call. i had once only written to him about a plan to integrate Pakistan’s industry and not only did he reply me by asking me in, he actually had my work accepted. i had done the same with this fat hog nawaz shareef back in 1997. he didnt so much as notice. well President musharraf is gone and we are left to ten percent, choudhreys, shareefs, bhuttos and so on who all have tracked records of every type of corruption twice that led pakistan to this. we get what we deserve. they are going to plunder us again. this slut’s son bilawal who probably doesnt get full erection is giving political statements and must be planning on building more palaces in dubai.
we deserve poverty and starvation and i pray this stupid pakistani nation gets it at the hand of their democracy again. i am sure they will all leave once the country breaks apart. may be once in while someone steps in and slaughters all these thugs in a single swipe and the nation realise musharraf was truly gold. stupid pakistanis iswear.
