Pakistan has accepted the request of host Bangladesh to add one more Twenty20 match to their tour starting in the middle of next month, chief operating officer of the PCB Saleem Altaf informed the media here Tuesday at the National Stadium.
The PCB official visited the media box and in chat with the media said Pakistan will play two T20 matches and five ODI on Bangladesh tour. The team will leave for Dhaka on March 11. The details of the tour would be finalised soon, he said.
He also disclosed that he would soon be visiting Dubai to inspect facilities at Dubai Sports City which is one of the neutral venues being discussed between Pakistan and Australia to play at an off shore series against Pakistan.
He and the PCB chief recently visited Kuala Lumpur to make a similar kind of inspection of facilities there.
Pakistan in view of Australian security objections, with mutual consultation is discussing holding series on an off shore venue. England is also being discussed as one of the neutral venue for the series.
Saelem said the PCB chief Ejaz Butt would visit Perth in connection with an ICC meeting soon. After attending the meeting the PCB head is expected to travel to Melbourne to meet his Aussie counterparts and discuss Australia’s much awaited tour to Pakistan and the possibility of holding the series both Test and the ODI at neutral venue.
Pakistan for some years had played a couple of its home series at off shore neutral venue after foreign teams expressed their reservations to travel to Pakistan in view of the so called security threat.
Pakistan had played series against Australia and the West Indies in Sri Lanka , Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
