Why is Mr. Zardari so eager to build ties with India at the expense of Pakistan? These are my sentiments in response to last week’s op-ed in Pakistani newspapers written by Mr. Asif Ali Zardari to commemorate Ms. Benazir Bhutto’s birthday. I am a young Pakistani woman residing in Canada. And, needless. For Complete Article Click Here

    Dear

Since you have mentioned that you are a young woman residing in Canada, I hope and assume that you do not have any linkage to those sections who have always attempted to malign PPP and its leadership starting from the times of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to Shaheed Mohtarma Bhutto and now their target is the persona of the President. After reading your article I sincerely believe that you have been misguided.

To begin with, one must not attempt to belittle the leadership of his/her own country. Please see and analyse objectively what he has done for the nation and for the country since he assume party leadership and the office of the President.

As far as President Zardari’s stance towards India is concerned, lets be very very clear. President has repeatedly said that we are a peaceful nation and we want good relations with our neighbours based on mutual respect of sovereignty and on equal footings. It is not only India or Pakistan that is facing the stateless actors who are involved in heinous crimes against the humanity. It is the whole region that is suffering the menace of extremism and militancy. We have to work with each other to root out militancy from this region.

As far as your observation that President turned his op-ed into attack on radicals and extremists, you would certainly agree that when you commemorate an event or recall a personality, don’t you emphasize on his/her mission in life. Shaheed Ms. Bhutto always fought and struggled for democracy, against militancy and sacrificed her life for this noble cause. Would it be fair if her struggle, her message is ignored and all emphasis is laid on kindling lamps over her grave?

It does not seem appropriate to comment anything further on the words you have used such as prostitute or traitor. I am sure you still remember, in foreign land, what we teach our children, to be polite and well-mannered. Even if they totally disagree or dislike someone still we, the Pakistanis, prove ourselves to be a descent nation and responsible people.

    Regards

    @@Ayesha jee,

In this country it has always been not easy to call ” a spade a spade” …In my life time i have seen quite a few politicians come and go in the corridors of power in Islamabad…but none were ever to sympatatic towards India …there is no dought that we all want good relations with all our neighbours …but there is something wrong with the way our sitting President is handling this matter ….of course there is no need to use such words as the canadian pakistani lady has used …but you can also see the true sentiments of our people in and out of the country ..speacially about our President.

So please let people write their minds freely.

I wish Pakistanis to stop using words such as Qaid or Shaheed for political leaders. As it is we have plenty of Nawabzadahs, Shahzadas, Sardars, Sayads, Mawlana, Muftis , Makhdums and so the list goes on. I will, however, be bit generous on Zardari…..he used to be Mr 10% Now he is not Mr 10% but Mr Hitman 100%.
As Zardari says, “For $s Master I will use Pak Gangester Army and kill any Pakistani who does not lick Richard Halbrook’s Backside”.

I like this photo of Cheap Jack Zardari. Was it taken outside a Karachi Mosque? Typical he will do anything for money. He will kill. He will creep.

    Dear Sadqa
You made me laugh very loud. Great great comments. You gotta a good witty character. Love it mam.
    Thanks for making my day.
Finally, Miss Ayesha, please dont mind but you are the sole supporter of our “great” president. Dont you feel there is something going seriously wrong with the “popularity” of our 100% president! We must sort out “foreign hand” involved in this conspiracy and making our “beloved” president popular by 10 % only.
