Pakistan defers Sarabjit hanging by 21 days

AMRITSAR: In a major breather for Sarabjit Singh, the Indian prisoner on death row in Pakistan, Islamabad on Monday further deferred his hanging by another 21 days.
Sarabjit was scheduled to be hanged on May 1, after president Pervez Musharraf had earlier deferred his hanging — initially scheduled for April 1.

Sarabjit’s family seeks visa to Pakistan

Family members of Sarabjit Singh are applying for visas to visit Pakistan, they hope to meet Singh, who has on Wednesday received a month’s reprieve on his death sentence.
Pakistan has put off the execution of Sarabjit till April 30. It was earlier fixed for April 1.
